To Address Some of the Technical Questions Which Arise from Time to Time...
Downloading the entire FormsLibrary is easy.
To download a single form
The form will print just like any other Word© file on your company’s system or computer. Due to the specific nature and format of the USPTO forms, you may need to adjust the margins on your computer. The forms have been successfully tested on a variety of both inkjet and laser printers.
Printing the forms
Accessing the FormsLibrary begins with accessing out website www.patentforms.com.
Click on the link on the Main Page or in the URL bar, type the address: www.patentforms.com/fileshare. You will be prompted with a password challenge.
The User name is assigned based on a unique identifier for the customer. The Password is assigned by FormEdit. There is only one User name associated with a Password, but FormEdit can establish up to three user names with individual passwords.
The User name and Password are case sensitive.
After entering the appropriate User name and Password, you are taken to our secure server. From this file directory the user can either: (1) download the entire FormsLibrary as a .zip file; or (2) locate a specific form. (The user will need to separately have their own access to the appropriate .zip extraction program.)
To download the entire FormsLibrary, simply left-click on the FormEdit’s PatentForms XX-XX.zip file. From this point, the user can save all of the USPTO forms onto their desired location.
For some users, they only want to access a single form, or identify and download a limited number of forms. There are only a few more steps to complete this task.
First, instead of left-clicking on the FormEdit’s PatentForms XX-XX.zip file, right-click and a different prompt will appear.
Right-click “Open”, “Open in New Tab”, or “Open in New Window”, depending on user preference.
Regardless of previous step, you will again be prompted to make a further selection. From this File Download prompt, select “Open”.
The progress bar will indicate the rate the file is being extracted.
After the extraction is complete, a directory of all the forms will appear.
As normally used, the documents can be sorted by file Name, Type, date Modified.
If the user has any questions on the version of the form being accessed, the “Date Modified” will note the latest date that the individual form was updated.
Clicking on a specific form will open the individual form which the user can then save, edit, or otherwise modify as they desire.
